Janette G. (Gallant) Howard, 60, of 6980 Margate Blvd. Margate, FL, and formerly of Gardner, died Wednesday, September 26th in University Hospital, Tamarac, FL following a long illness.
Born in Gardner on June 23, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Aurele and Gertrude (Jaillet) Gallant.
Janette was an Administrator, employed by Sensormatic Co. of Boca Raton, FL. She was previously employed at Tyco in Westminster.
Janette was a 1965 graduate of Gardner High School. She also attended Mount Wachusett Community College in Gardner.
Janette was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, Gardner, and a member of the Elks Lodge in Margate, FL.
She enjoyed knitting, exercising and walking. She also enjoyed playing golf, and was a member of the Gardner Golf Course and it's Women's League.
Janette leaves her husband of 39 years, Daniel J. Howard of Margate, FL; one son, D.J. Howard and his wife Melissa of Templeton; one daughter, Michelle Wilkinson and her husband Robert of Gardner; two sisters, Claire Murphy and her husband Mark of Templeton and Ann-Marie Fisher and her husband Austin of Winchendon; four grandchildren, Michael and Steven Wilkinson of Gardner and Dominic and Cameron Howard of Templeton; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Monday, October, 1st from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner, with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Winchendon.
Calling hours at the funeral home are Sunday, September 30th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure, 5005 LBJ FWY, Ste 250, Dallas, TX 75244.
