Janet H"Tiny" Hill

June 17, 1933 — May 20, 2010

Janet H. "Tiny" (Mahan) Hill, 76, of 21 Bridge Street, Templeton, died suddenly Thursday, May 20th in UMass Memorial Medical Center, 55 Lake Ave North, Worcester, surrounded by her family.

Born in Clinton on June 17, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Theodore Stanley Mahan and Helen Florence (Stretagarkis) Mahan.

Janet was a waitress for various local restaurants for many years, including the Old Mill Restaurant, Westminster for 25 years, and the Fox Run Restaurant, Phillipston for 25 years.

Janet graduated from Clinton High School, Clinton with the Class of 1951.

She enjoyed going to Las Vegas and Foxwoods, playing bingo and poker. Janet enjoyed watching crime and drama television shows, including "Law and Order" and "C.S.I.". Janet loved her dog "Snoopy". Her favorite times were those spent with family.

Janet was predeceased by her former spouse, Richard Arnold Hill who died in 1984.

She leaves one son, Richard A. Hill of Baldwinville; one daughter, Candace H. Kuehl and her husband Jesse of Athol; one brother, Theodore Mahan and his wife Lee of Rutland; six grandchildren, Matthew Hill, Carl Hill, Joshua Kuehl, Jessi Kuehl, Nichole Kuehl and Sarah Kuehl; two great-grandchildren, Isaac and Alicia Hill; one sister in law, Mary Mahan of Platsburg, NY; one uncle; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Jack Mahan.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 26th at 7:00 p.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner.

Calling hours in the funeral home will be Wednesday, May 26th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to UMASS Memorial Medical Center, Cardiac Unit, 55 Lake Avenue North, Worcester, MA 01613.
