Jane M. (Bettez) Saulnier, 95, of 70 Princeton St., Gardner, died Thursday, March 10th in her residence following an illness.
Born in Baldwinville on December 9, 1909, she was the daughter of Charles and Nellie (Sweeney) Bettez.
She was a bookkeeper employed by the former Sav-On Heat Co. of Gardner for 12 years, retiring in 1980.
She was a 1927 graduate of Gardner High School.
Mrs. Saulnier was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church. She played the piano and enjoyed all music. She loved Gardner and enjoyed her grandchildren.
She leaves her husband of 73 years, William Saulnier of Gardner; a daughter-in-law, Carol Saulnier of Gardner; 2 sisters, Laura Ringuette of Gardner and Alma Gates of Templeton; 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 3 great-greatgrandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a son, William C. Saulnier Sr. who died in 1999, 2 brothers, Leo and Romeo Bettez, and 2 sisters, Rose Cosentino and Blanche Parviainen.
Funeral services will be held Monday, March 14th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols St., Gardner with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols St., Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner, at a later date.
A calling hour at the funeral home will be Monday, March 14th from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
