Jamie S. Scott, 39, of 15 Maple Road, Oxford, died unexpectedly Sunday, June 1st in UMASS-Memorial Medical Center, Worcester as a result of an accident.
Born in Gardner on January 31, 1969, he was the son of John P. and Christine A. (Brodeur) Scott of Gardner.
At the time of his death, Jamie was owner/operator of Dentech LLC. in Oxford, a business he and his father John started 8 years ago. He was previously employed by Nypro in Clinton as a supervisor and by Polytop in Rhode Island.
Jamie graduated from Gardner High School, Gardner with the class of 1987. He attended Worcester State College, Worcester and attended Zion Bible Institute in Rhode Island.
Jamie was a member of HighPointe Church in Thompson, CT, and Hope Chapel in Sterling. He was a "true outdoorsman", who enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He loved to play golf, enjoyed all sports, including Nascar racing, and was an avid New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox fan. Jamie will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Besides his parents, he leaves his wife, Tiffany M. (Saad) Scott of Oxford; two sons, Micah J. and Jesse D. Scott of Dayville, CT; one stepson, Michael Melendez, Jr. of Oxford; one brother, Jason P. Scott and his wife Terri of Westford; one sister, Janelle A. Scott of Wakefield, MA; one nephew, Odin Scott of Westford; several aunts and uncles.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 7th at 1:00 p.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial at a later date will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
Calling hours in the funeral home are Friday, June 6th from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
