James E. Judycki, 74, of Barre, died peacefully Tuesday, December 31, 2024, in Gardner Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Gardner, after an illness.
Born in Casper, Wyoming, on September 16, 1950, he was the son of the late Chester and Evelyn Judycki. He graduated from North Brookfield Junior/ Senior High School with the Class of 1968. James was a security guard employed by Allegro Security of Worcester for over 20 years. He was previously a police officer employed by the Town of Hardwick.
James was a history buff who loved learning about the local history, especially the Quabbin Reservoir and Native American culture. He enjoyed reading and visiting covered bridges. James was a gifted craftsman who perfected the art of drawing, painting, and woodworking. His greatest pride and true love was his family, treasuring the time spent together.
James is survived by his daughter, Rebecca Burbidge and her husband Andrew of Beverly; a grandchild, Soley Burbidge; several brothers, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Calling Hours will be held Friday, January 10, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA.
