James Paul "Jimmy" Gallant, 46, of 7 Willow Street, Gardner, died Tuesday, January 5th in UMASS-Memorial Medical Center, 55 Lake Ave No., Worcester, following a brief illness.
Jimmy was born in Fitchburg on June 26, 1963, the son of Camille J. and Agnes M. (Savoie) Gallant of Gardner.
Jimmy received his GED in 1987.
He was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, Gardner. Jimmy was also a member of the Crystal House in Gardner.
Jimmy enjoyed fishing and watching documentaries on television. He loved baseball, football and hockey and was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox, the New England Patriots and the Boston Bruins.
Besides his parents, he leaves five brothers, Donald J. Gallant and his wife Dianne of Templeton, Thomas J. Gallant of Las Vegas, Nevada, Richard A. Gallant of Brookline, MA, Roland B. Gallant of Las Vegas, Nevada and Robert C. Gallant of Worcester; one sister, Joanne M. Landry of Gardner; a special friend, Joanne Milan of Gardner; several aunts, uncles, two nieces, one nephew and several cousins.
A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, January 13th at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Spirit Church, 50 Lovewell Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
