James N. Caouette, 57, of Fort Myers, FL, died suddenly Wednesday, March 8th in his residence.
Born in Gardner on August 19, 1948, he was the son of the late Norman Caouette.
He was a 1966 graduate of Gardner High School and in 1969 he graduated from Leicester Junior College with an Associate Degree in Business. He worked several years in the furniture business including sales manager of Modern Contract Furniture in Gardner. He lived in California for a few years but spent most of his adult life in Georgia and Florida. Jim's interests included boating, music and cars. He had a love of dogs, making them a significant part of his family.
He was a former member of the National Guard.
He leaves his mother, Maxine (Forth) Caouette of Fort Myers, FL; 1 sister, Sheila Jalutkewicz and husband John of Rindge, NH; 1 niece, Jane Baxter Gordon of Chicago; 1 nephew, Jay Jalutkewicz of Atlanta, GA and several cousins.
All funeral services are private and will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to an animal shelter of the donor's choice.
