Jacqueline E. é¢a‚A"Nanaé¢a‚ (Rogers) Boone, 74, of 40 Ash Street, Gardner, died July 7, 2014 in Heywood Hospital, Gardner, following a long illness.
Born in Gardner on July 16, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Alice P. (LeBlanc) Rogers.
Jacqueline graduated from Gardner High School with the Class of 1957. She was the Drum Majorette for both Gardner High School and the Royal Cadets.
She was a secretary employed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in the Probation Department of the First District Court for several years.
Jacqueline enjoyed reading, crocheting and spending time at her son's camp at Templeton Fish & Game. She enjoyed visiting her son in San Diego, CA and spending time at Del Mar Beach. She enjoyed daily communications with her daughter. She looked forward to her weekly luncheons with é¢a‚A"The Breakfast Clubé¢a‚. Jacqueline treasured time spent with her family.
During her final days in Heywood Hospital, Jacqueline received a surprise visit from all her grandchildren. This was the first time they were all were together in 32 years.
Jacqueline leaves two sons, James S. Boone and his wife Gisele of Gardner and John R. Boone of Templeton; one daughter, Cheryl Harvey of Colorado Springs, CO; one brother, Ronald Rogers and his wife Vicky of Cleveland, OH; five grandchildren, Michael Harvey, Krystal Lott, Shelby Harvey, Joshua Boone and Jacob Boone; two great-grandchildren, Jaxon and Jordyn Lott; one aunt, Ellen Pauze; one uncle, Denny Darling; two nieces, Jackie Lafond and Debbie Balins; two nephews, Steven and Thomas Boone; and several cousins.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, July 12th at 11:00 a.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial of ashes will be private and held at a later date.
A calling hour will be held Saturday, July 12th from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association of Massachusetts, 393 Maple Street, Springfield, MA 01105.
