Jack A. Marineau, 67, of Fitchburg, died peacefully Tuesday, June 13, 2023, in The Highlands, Fitchburg, after an illness.
Born in Montpelier, Vermont, he was the son of the late Arthur and Sybil (Strong) Marineau. He graduated from Fair Haven (VT) High School with the Class of 1974. Jack worked for Covanta SEMASS and was a Welder employed by General Dynamics Electric Boat for many years before his retirement.
Jack loved to keep busy making box kites and going fishing. He loved watching sports, especially his favorite, NASCAR, and listening to folk music and 60s and 70s rock. Jack's greatest joy was his family, especially his late wife Sheryl treasuring all the special moments together.
Jack is survived by his two daughters, Jacqueline Cullen and her husband Scott of Ashburnham, and Aimy McKillop and her husband Darryl of Washington State; three grandchildren, Desiree Moreno, Nikolus Rocha and his wife Angelee, and Crysta Young and her husband Steven Jr.; three brothers, Joseph, Jimmy, and Gene Marineau; four sisters, Debbie Danella, Dory Marineau, Dana Femino, and Mary Zabel; special extended family Michael and Carrie Winsor; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, great-grandchildren, and friends.
He was predeceased by his wife Sheryl (Winsor) and special extended family member, Lloyd aka Buddy Windsor.
A Celebration of Jack's Life will be held Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. in River Styx Brewing, 166 Boulder Drive, Fitchburg, MA. Those in attendance will be invited to share memories of Jack at 6:30 p.m.
