Irma Gertrude "Hasi" Landman, 81, of 105 Ridgewood Lane, Gardner died Sunday, November 30th in the Wachusett Manor Nursing Home, Gardner following a brief illness.
Born in Ohio on September 18, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Herman and Hilde (Hinz) Landman. Irma moved to Gardner in the 1940's and was educated in the Gardner School System.
Irma was a court stenographer for the Massachusetts Court System, and received the honor of being named State Court Employee of the Year in Massachusetts. She was previously employed by Simplex Time Recorder, Hartshorn Mfg. and Florence Stove Co. all of Gardner.
Irma was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church, formerly known as the First Lutheran Church, Gardner, and sang in the church choir for many years.
She had a vast collection of Walt Disney memorabilia, especially of Mickey Mouse, which brought her much joy. She was an enthusiastic supporter of the Ohio State University football team, the Buckeyes, their victories were her victories.
Irma leaves no family, however, she leaves many friends who loved her, and whom she considered her family.
A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, December 3rd at 3:00 p.m. in the Faith Lutheran Church, 627 Green Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Greenbower Cemetery, Gardner at a later date.
There are no calling hours.
