Irene M. Fournier

Irene M. (Allain) Fournier, 96, of Baldwinville, formerly of Gardner, died peacefully Friday, January 21, 2022, in Alliance Health at Baldwinville.

Born in Mexico, Maine on June 15, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Joseph A. and Fabianna (Trial) Allain. Irene was an Inspector employed by Harrington Richardson (H&R) for 25-years until her retirement in 1985.

Irene was a parishioner of Annunciation Parish/ Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church of Gardner. She was a member of the Golden Agers and Gardner Chapter of AARP. She enjoyed traveling to various places throughout the world, and baking. Irene’s greatest joy was her family cherishing every moment they had with each other.

Irene is survived by her three grandchildren, Kimberly Gauvin and her husband Kevin of Ashburnham, Keith Hadmack and his wife Rebecca of Royalston, and Curtis Fournier and his wife Nicole of Wells, ME; four great-grandchildren, Tanner and Hunter Gauvin, and Ashley and Allison Hadmack; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Irene was predeceased by her husband Herve Fournier, who died in 1978; a daughter, Janice M. Hadmack; a son, Gerald R. Fournier; and four sisters, M. Geraldine Arsenault, Anita M. LeRoy, Barbara A. Maillet, and Janice Plante.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, January 28, 2022, from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA, with a Mass at 1:00 p.m. in Annunciation Parish at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA. Burial at Notre Dame Cemetery, West Street, Gardner, MA, will be held at a later date.

Calling Hours are Friday, January 28, 2022, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the funeral home.
