Henry R. Hebert, 85, of 61 Greenway Drive, Vernon, VT and formerly of 125 Connors St., Gardner, died Wednesday, August 10th in the Vernon Green Nursing Home, Vernon, VT following a long illness.
Born in Madawaska, Maine on October 7, 1919, he was the son of Rene and Agnes (Cyr) Hebert.
He was a foreman employed by Collier-Keyworth Co. of Gardner for 34 years until retiring in 1977.
Mr. Hebert was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, Gardner. He enjoyed visiting the Maine coast.
He leaves 1 son, Normand R. Hebert and wife Kathy of Vernon, VT, a daughter, Rolande Fisher and husband Clayton of Severn, MD, a son-in-law Dennis Atkins of Pueblo, CO; 2 sisters, Estelle Bard and Marie Hebert both of Madawaska, ME; 4 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a daughter, Gail Atkins of Pueblo, CO, 2 brothers, Paul and Romeo Hebert, 3 sisters, Alvine Bouchard, Annette Bouchard and Aurore St.Onge and a good friend, Christine Johnson of Gardner. He leaves his former wife, Rena (Martin) Hebert of Gardner.
Funeral services will be held Monday, August 15th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols St., Gardner with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols St., Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
A calling hour at the funeral home will be Monday, August 15th from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
