Henri Laliberte

December 17, 1915 — November 4, 2008

Henri Louis "Louis" Laliberte, 92, of 250 Pine Street, Gardner, died peacefully Tuesday, November 4th in the Leo P. LaChance Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing, Gardner, following a brief illness.

Born in Granby, Quebec, Canada on December 17, 1915, he was the son of the late Joseph and Maria (Fredette) Laliberte.

Prior to retiring in 1974, Louis was an assembler employed by Harrington and Richardston Co. of Gardner for 15 years.

He was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, Gardner.

Louis was a founding member of the Deer Club in Gardner.

Louis was a United States WWII Army Veteran and received the Good Conduct Medal, the American Theater Campaign Ribbon, the European African Middle Eastern Theater Campaign Ribbon, the Victory Medal, the Asiatic Pacific Theater Campaign Ribbon and the Philippine Liberation Ribbon.

He was an avid Boston Red Sox fan, and enjoyed time spent with his family.

Louis leaves his wife of 61 years, Beulah Lorraine (Gay) Laliberte of Gardner; two sons, Raymond Laliberte of Derry, NH and Paul Laliberte and his wife Linda of Gardner; two daughters, Dolores M. Tamulen and her husband James of Gardner and Denise M. Lahtinen and her husband Peter of Westminster; one brother, Rene Laliberte of Gardner; three grandchildren, Corey and Jason Kruger and Brooke Morgan; one great-grandson, Dylan Kruger; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by two brothers, Armand and Edmond Laliberte.

Funeral services will be held Friday, November 7th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.

A calling hour in the funeral home will be Friday, November 7th from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
