Helen M. Pasakinskas

Helen M. (Johnson) Pasakinskas, 91, of Baldwinville, formerly of Gardner, died peacefully, Friday, February 26, 2021, in Alliance Health at Baldwinville, Baldwinville, after an illness.

Born in Gardner on October 7, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Oscar and Ovina (Desmarais) Johnson. Helen was a maintenance worker employed by Simplex Time Recorder Company of Westminster for 5-years until her retirement in 1999. She was previously employed by the Heywood-Wakefield Company of Gardner as a sander for several years.

Helen was a parishioner of Annunciation Parish/ Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church of Gardner. Helen loved going out to eat with her friends, shopping, going out for walks, and taking trips to the ocean. She enjoyed watching soap operas and watching football, especially her New England Patriots. But the time that Helen loved and truly cherished the most was spent with her family.

Helen is survived by three daughters, Deborah Taft and her significant other Edward Morrissey of Templeton, Diana Gates and her husband Paul of Cape Coral, FL, and Darlene Ikonen and her husband David of Gardner; three grandchildren, Alycia Johnson, Melanie Brugal, and Chrystal Lane; five great-grandchildren, Sincerae Chambers, Richard Jayden “RJ” and Tyler Brugal, Wesley, and Jagger Lane; a great-great-grandchild, River Chambers; a brother, Richard Johnson of Winchendon; a brother-in-law, Milan Magura; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was predeceased by her son, Randy Pasakinskas; a grandchild, Christie Breton; and her two sisters, Betty Tolppa and Sherley M. Magura.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, March 4, 2021, with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Annunciation Parish at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA 01440. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery, Bridge Street, Baldwinville, MA.

A Calling Hour for immediate family will be private.

Masks and social distancing will be required.
