Helen Miszewicz, 94, of Templeton, died peacefully Monday, February 1, 2016 in the Baldwinville Nursing Home of Baldwinville, following a struggle with Parkinson's disease.
Born in Gardner on December 12, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Stephanie (Apanel) Hadjukiewicz.
Helen was employed as a housekeeper for Judge Sweeney in her early years, and was later employed by George S. Bent Company of Gardner as a sander for many years. Following her retirement, she was a housekeeper for the former LaChance Nursing Home until the age of 77.
Helen was a member of the former St. Joseph's Church of Gardner. She was also a member of the Women's Polish Auxilliary.
She enjoyed candlepin bowling, crafts, gardening and spending time outdoors. Helen lived and raised her family on Doc Sauter's Farm.
She was predeceased by her husband, Constantine Miszewicz who died in 1999.
Helen leaves three sons, Charles Miszewicz of Anchorage, Alaska, Walter Miszewicz of Templeton and Chester Miszewicz of Fresno, CA; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her son, Paul Miszewicz; three brothers, Bruno, Edward and Alexander Hadjukiewicz; two sisters, Nellie Gelsomini and Frances Hadjukiewicz.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, February 8, 2016 at 12:00 p.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery of Gardner.
A calling hour will be held Monday, February 8th from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
