Helen M. (LeBlanc) Mailman, 91, of 116 Church Street, Gardner, died Sunday, July 14, 2013 in the Legend Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing, Gardner following a long illness.
Born in Gardner on May 7, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Alice (Hobby) Leblanc.
Helen was a secretary employed by Gardner Machine Works for several years, retiring in 1975.
She graduated from Worcester High School of Commerce in 1940, and attended Becker Junior College in Worcester.
Helen enjoyed being active; playing golf, bowling, taking trips to Foxwoods and spending time with her family.
She was a member of the Worcester County Woman's Golf League.
Helen was predeceased by her husband, Arthur R. Mailman who died in 2005.
She leaves two sons, Thomas Mailman and his wife Deborah of Templeton and William Mailman and his wife Elizabeth of Grover Beach, CA; two grandchildren, Matthew Mailman and Nicole Keith and her husband Bryan; three great-grandchildren, Jonas and Trent Mailman and Lila Keith; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Helen also leaves a close family friend, Vicki Walet. She was predeceased by one brother, Roger Leblanc and by one sister, Louise Carter.
Funeral Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
