Helen F. (Foskett) Grow, 76, of 45 Glen Rd., Gardner and formerly of Wendell, died Saturday, June 12th in her residence following a short illness.
Born in New Brunswick, Canada on May 29, 1928, she was the daughter of Kenneth and Martha (Andrews) Foskett.
She was a Registered Nurse employed by Heywood Hospital, Gardner, for 15 years, retiring in 1993. She was previously employed by the former Gardner State Hospital. She also formerly owned "Helen's Pies", delivering to several local markets and restaurants.
Mrs. Grow graduated from Manchester High School, Manchester, NH, the Mary Hitchcock Hospital School of Nursing, Hanover, NH and received her Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from Framingham State College, Framingham.
She enjoyed reading, playing cards, cooking, socializing and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She especially enjoyed spending time at York Beach, ME and visiting her sister in Ontario, Canada.
She leaves 3 sons, Dana K. Grow of Gardner, Michael J. Grow of Worcester and Andrew E. Grow of Baldwinville; 1 daughter, Karen L. Leming of Gardner; 1 sister, Lois Pearce of Ontario, Canada; 9 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
All funeral services are private and will be held at the convenience of the family.
A Celebration of her Life will be held Thursday, June 17th at King Phillip Restaurant, Phillipston from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols St., Gardner, is in charge of arrangements.
