Helen L. Cormier

February 18, 1935 — July 27, 2007

Helen L. (Robichaud) Cormier, 72, of 125 Connors St., Gardner, died Friday, July 27th at UMASS Memorial Hospital, Worcester.

Born in Gardner on February 18, 1935, she was the daughter of Emile and Elizabeth (Thibault).

She was an assembler employed by T.R.W. Fasteners of Westminster for 4 ½ years until her retirement in 2000. She was previously employed by N.E.C. of Boxboro for 4 ½ years and also in Northboro for 4 ½ years. She also worked at the Co-op Supermarket in Fitchburg, the Rendez-vous Restaurant in Fitchburg and Foster Grant Co. of Leominster.

Helen was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church. She enjoyed crafts, especially embroidery, cooking, baking and had a great love for animals.

She leaves 2 sons, Dennis J. Cormier and his wife Maria D. of Westminster, Russell J. Cormier of Winchendon; 1 stepdaughter, Rita Hixenbaugh of Colorado Spings, CO; 8 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren; 2 nieces, 1 nephew and several cousins. She was predeceased by a brother, Maurice E. Robichaud and her former husband, Robert J. Cormier.

Funeral services will be held Friday, August 3rd from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols St., Gardner with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols St., Gardner. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Gardner.

Calling hours at the funeral home are Thursday, August 2nd from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
