Helen L. (McNelis) Caouette, 75, of 31 Ridge Street, Westminster, died peacefully on Monday, March 12th, in her residence surrounded by her family, following a short illness.
Born in Kulpmont, PA on December 13, 1931, she was the daughter of Raymond and Helen (Dombrowski) McNelis.
Helen was a Manager of the Jewelry Department of Rich's Department Store in Gardner for 18 years, retiring in 1994.
She was a graduate of Conynham-Centralia High School in Aristes, PA.
Helen was a member of St. Edwards the Confessor Church, Westminster.
She enjoyed going to Las Vegas, and she was an avid fan and follower of her grandsons baseball career.
Helen is survived by her husband of 53 years, Arthur L. Caouette of Westminster; 1 son, Gary L. Caouette of Westminster; 2 sisters, Ann Blattel and her husband Albert of Bridgewater, N.J. and Donna Woodward of Myerstown, PA; 1 grandson, Timothy R. Caouette of Westminster; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a son, Terry L. Caouette of Washington, D.C., who died in 1993; and a brother, Raymond McNelis of Lebanon, PA, who died in 2000.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 17th at 10:00 a.m. in St. Edwards the Confessor Church, 10 Church Street, Westminster. Burial will be in Woodside Cemetery, Westminster.
Calling hours are Friday, March 16th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner.
