J. Harvey G. "Harvster" Pitre, 64, of 191 Royalston Road, Baldwinville died unexpectedly Monday, March 5, 2012 in Heywood Hospital, Gardner.
Born in Moncton, N.B., Canada on June 2, 1947, he was the son of the late Gerald J. and Yolanda (Melanson) Pitre.
Harvey was a carpenter employed by Dennis Henri Construction of Littleton. He was previously employed by Classic Upholstery of Fitchburg.
Harvey enjoyed motorcycle riding, farming, making model cars and going to the beach. He loved watching movies, music and Elvis Presley. Harvey especially enjoyed spending time with his family.
He leaves his fiance, Rose M. Jacobs with whom he lived; four sons, Dale Rader of Templeton, Steve Rader of Leominster, Tim Rader of Gardner and Wayne J. Arsenault of Moncton, N.B. Canada; four daughters, Priscilla M. Pitre and her significant other, Craig LeBlanc of Fitchburg, Tracy Rader of Gardner, Jessica A. McGeorge and her husband Anthony of Leominster and Therese M. Meigs and her husband Martin of Fitchburg; two brothers, Terrance J. Pitre and his wife Juanita of Gardner and Gerald J. Pitre of Pepperell; two sisters, Delia M. Pitre of Leominster and Beth Doucette of Lunenburg; one grandson, Nathan J. LeBlanc; several additional grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Harvey was greatly loved by his nieces, nephews and many friends.
Funeral Services are private and will be held at the convenience of the family.
