Greta S. (LeBlanc) Criggar, 87, of Templeton, died peacefully Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at Heywood Hospital, Gardner, surrounded by her family after a short illness.

Born in Memramcook, New Brunswick, Canada, on November 10, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Jean and Madelene LeBlanc. Greta worked for many years as a waitress at Friendly’s in Gardner. In 1979 she decided to become a small business owner and opened Greta’s Plastercraft. She then transitioned the business to Hearts N’ Kalico Flower Shop where she owned and operated for many years before her retirement in 1995.

Greta was a parishioner of Annunciation Parish of Gardner, practicing at its Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church. She enjoyed working on puzzles, playing various games on her iPad, especially exploring new recipes on Pinterest. Greta loved to be in her kitchen cooking and baking, and when not in her kitchen, Greta enjoyed various crafts and working in her garden. Her family was her pride and joy, and she loved caring for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Greta is survived by her three daughters, Joanne Boudreau, Jocelyn Mearn and her husband Paul, and Rachel Criggar, all of Templeton; a son Michael Boudreau of Barre; grandchildren, Crystal Richard and her husband Jean-Paul of Maine, Michael Boudreau Jr. and his wife Michelle of New York, Tyler Boudreau of Gardner, PJ Mearn of Templeton and Kaitlyn Mearn and her significant other Domonyc Vazquez of Leominster; great-grandchildren, Caleb Richard of Maine, Grace Fergerson and her husband Kason of Maine, Peter Richard of Maine, Anna Richard of Maine, Elijah Boudreau of New York; Emily Kiberd -Pervier of Winchendon, Eli, Elyan and Jadiel; her beloved cat “The Queen” Mya; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Normand R. Boudreau, who died in 1962; her second husband of 49 years, William F. Criggar, who died in 2017; one sister; and two brothers. Also, predeceased by her two cats, Sam & Marley.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, November 3, 2023, with a Mass at 11:30 a.m. in Annunciation Parish at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA. Burial will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen Street, Winchendon, MA.
