Grace Priscilla (Cross) Stone, 87, of 94 Summer Street, Fitchburg died Tuesday, March 4th in the Hillcrest Nursing Home, Fitchburg, following a long illness.
Born in Athol on February 26, 1921, she was the daughter of Guy A. and Estella C. (Bacon) Cross.
Mrs. Stone enjoyed knitting, reading, watching television, taking rides to Rhode Island and spending time with her family.
She leaves her husband of 50 years, Foster A. Stone of Gardner; one son, Charles Wesockes of Athol; three daughters, Patricia Ray and her husband Richard of Athol, Kathleen Palmieri and her husband Scott of Gardner, and Karen Arseneau and her husband Mario of Gardner; one brother, Douglas Woessner of Nashua, N.H.; one sister, Hilda Cogswell of Orange; nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by three daughters, Jacqueline Demoura, Patricia Wesockes and Debbie Stone; one brother, Robert Woessner; two sisters, Charlotte Tedford and Exelene Simonin.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 7th at 7:00 p.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Silver Lake Cemetery, Athol.
A calling hour in the funeral home will be Friday, March 7th from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
