Gordon V. Hugo, 42, of Hopewell Junction, NY, died Thursday, March 6th in the residence of his parents in Gardner, following a brief illness.
Born in Portsmouth, Virginia on October 11, 1965.
Prior to his illness, Gordon was employed for seventeen years by IBM Corporation of Hopewell Junction, NY as a Semi Conductor Design Engineer.
Gordon was a 1983 graduate of Gardner High School, Gardner. In 1987 he received a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and in 1989 he received his Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Gordon was a hard worker devoted to his profession. He was quite generous to his family and friends, both financially and personally, and he treated people the way they ought to be.
He is survived by his parents, Frederic E. and Carol J. (Cycz) Hugo of Gardner; one brother, Morgan S. Hugo of Amherst, MA; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
A Funeral Mass will be held Monday, March, 10th at 2:00 p.m. in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 166 Cross Street, Gardner. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Gardner at a later date.
