Gloria P. (Paradis) Kirouac, 85, of 32 Hospital Hill Rd., formerly of Blanchard St. and Pleasant St., Gardner, died peacefully Wednesday, April 21st in Wachusett Manor Nursing Home, Gardner, following a long illness.
Born in Gardner on August 10, 1924, she was the daughter of Edward and Henrietta (Fontaine) Paradis.
With her husband, she was part-owner and operator of Kirouac Jewelers of Gardner from 1951 to 1982.
Gloria was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church. She enjoyed traveling, reading, sewing, doing crossword puzzles and watching 'The Price is Right" on television.
Her husband of 35 years, Ernest J. Kirouac died in 1982.
She leaves two sisters, Georgette P. Gamache of Orange City, FL and Rachel C. Therrien of Gardner; 6 nieces and nephews; 11 greatnieces and greatnephews; 11 great-greatnieces and great-greatnephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Jeanita B. Kirouac of Worcester.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 24th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols St., Gardner with a Mass at 1:30 p.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols St., Gardner. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Gardner.
A calling hour at the funeral home will be Saturday, April 24th from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.
