Gloria M. (Boucher) Daulton, 81, of 272 Chapel St., Gardner died Monday in Heywood Hospital, Gardner, following an illness.
Born in Fitchburg on September 17, 1922, she was the daughter of C. Eugene and Rose A. (Gaudette) Boucher.
She was employed in the Payroll Department of the former Gardner State Hospital and also the Rutland State Hospital for several years.
She was a 1940 graduate of Fitchburg High School and was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church.
Mrs. Daulton was an avid knitter and gardener.
Her husband of 22 years, Waldo E. Daulton Sr., died in 1992.
She leaves a daughter-in-law, Lucy Daulton of Fitchburg; 1 stepson, Rev. Robert E. Daulton and his wife, Nancy Daulton of Fitchburg; 1 brother, Francis Boucher of Fitchburg; 11 stepgrandchildren, 19 stepgreat-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a stepson, Waldo E. Daulton Jr.; a stepdaughter, Carol Koehn; a brother, Eli Boucher and a sister, Jeannette McNeill.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:00 a.m. with a Mass in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols St., Gardner. Burial in St. Josephi¿½s Cemetery, Fitchburg, will be at the convenience of the family.
