Gladys B. (Rouisse) DesBois, 85, of Gardner, died peacefully surrounded by her family, in her residence on Tuesday, July 20th of pancreatic cancer.

Born in Fitchburg on May 9, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Napolean "Paul" and Mabel (Gionet) Rouisse.

Gladys worked at Worcester County National Bank in Gardner for many years.

Gladys graduated from Fitchburg High School, Fitchburg with the Class of 1943.

She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Holy Spirit Church and Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, Gardner.

Gladys leaves her husband of 63 years, Paul, of Gardner; her son, Daniel P., of Woodland Park, Colorado; her daughter, Diane V. DesBois, and her husband, Bill Walsh, of Barre Town, Vermont; her grandson, David DesBois, his wife, Katie, of Huntington Beach, California, a great-grandaughter, Riley Rose, and another great-granddaughter who is expected this September; her grandson, Scott DesBois, and his wife, Jen, of Parker, Colorado; two sisters, Cecile Belanger, and her husband, Paul, of Rindge, New Hampshire and Anita Forest, and her husband, Raymond, of Largo, Florida; two brothers, Paul Rouisse of Fitchburg, who was married to Shirley Rouisse (who died in 2008) and Edmond Rouisse, and his wife, Cora , of Clearwater, Florida; her uncle, William Gionet; and his wife, Thelma, of Townsend; two step-aunts, Agnes Howlet of Shirley and Sylvia Schuman of Long Island, NY; three step-uncles, Charles Gionet of Stoughton, MA, Alexandre Gionet, of Wells, Maine and Paul Gionet of Florida and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, July 24th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner, with a Mass at 11:00 am in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Crystal Lake Cemetery, Gardner.

Calling hours in the funeral home will be Friday, July 23rd from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Gardner Visiting Nursing Association Hospice Program, 34 Pearly Lane, Gardner, MA 01440.
