Gisela Duplacy

Gisela (Kraft) Duplacy, 83, of Gardner, died peacefully Monday, March 14, 2022, in Heywood Hospital, Gardner.

Born in Darmstadt, Germany, on October 17, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Wilhelm and Katrina (Schneider) Kraft. She received her education through the German school system prior to coming to the United States.

Gisela was a parishioner of Annunciation Parish/ Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church of Gardner. She enjoyed cooking and traveling—especially back to Germany and the islands. Gisela was a homemaker whose greatest enjoyment was spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Gisela is survived by her husband of 58-years, Alan R. Duplacy of Gardner; three sons, Gregory Duplacy and his wife Christine of Tennessee, Jeffrey Duplacy and his wife Janeen of Gardner and Matthew Duplacy and his significant other Rosemary Haskell of Gardner; nine grandchildren, Mackenzie, K.C., Monica, Connor, Riley and Kyle Duplacy, William, Patrick and Ashley McNelley; one great-grandchild, Cooper; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was predeceased by her four brothers, Willi, Fred, Werner, and Klaus Kraft.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, March 21, 2022, from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA, with a Mass at 12:00 p.m. in Annunciation Parish at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA. Burial will follow at St. John’s Cemetery, West Street, Gardner, MA.

Calling Hours will be held Monday, March 21, 2022, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
