Gertrude M. Yablonski

Gertrude "Gert" M. (Welch) Yablonski, 95, of 140 Prescott St., North Andover, and formerly of 25 Greenwood Place, Gardner, died Monday, January 24th in Prescott House, North Andover, following a long illness.
Born in Gardner on October 21, 1915, she was the daughter of Joseph and Gertrude (Sweeney) Welch.
She was a secretary employed by Nichols & Stone Co. of Gardner for 40 years until retiring in 1980.
Mrs. Yablonski was a 1933 graduate of Templeton High School and in 1935 she graduated from Becker Junior College, Worcester.
She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Gardner.
She enjoyed gardening and her true enjoyment was being with her family.
Her husband of 53 years, Wacy Yablonski, died in 1996.
She leaves a son, Stephen C. Yablonski and his wife Nancy of San Juan Capistrano, CA; a daughter, Jeanne M. Smyth and her husband James of Tewksbury; one grandson Timothy Smyth, one stepgrandson, Christopher Julius; 2 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a brother, Joseph Welch, and 3 sisters, Madelyn Walsh, Dorothy Hicks, and Barbara Welch.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 1st at 5:30 p.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols St., Gardner. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery at a later date.
Calling hours at the funeral home are Tuesday, February 1st from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.
