Germaine M Savoie

Germaine M. (LeBlanc) Savoie, 100, of 33 Plymouth Street, Gardner, died peacefully Saturday, April 17th in her residence.

Born in Bouctouche, NB, Canada on October 28, 1909, she was the daughter of Leon and Valentine (Hebert) LeBlanc.

She was a housekeeper employed by Holy Spirit Parish Rectory for 23 years, retiring in 1986.

Mrs. Savoie was a member of Holy Spirit Church.

Her husband of 20 years, John K. Savoie, died in 1959.

She leaves a sister, Rita Perry of Gardner; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by an adopted grandson, First Lieutenent Ryan Patrick Jones who died in the line of duty in Iraq in 2007, 4 brothers, Peter, Fidele, Joseph, Alyre LeBlanc, sisters, Irene Cook, Anna LeBlanc, Marie Leger and Alice Vienneau.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 21st from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols St., Gardner with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Holy Spirit Church, 50 Lovewell St., Gardner. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Gardner.

A calling hour at the funeral home will be Wednesday, April 21st from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to Heart of a Hero Foundation, In honor of Ryan Patrick Jones, 127 State Rd. West, Westminster, MA 01473.
