Germaine M. Melanson

Germaine M. Melanson, 91, a long time resident of Gardner, died Wednesday August 17th in Wachusett Manor Nursing Home, Gardner.
Born on October 2, 1924 in Rumford, Maine, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Helen (Babineau) Melanson.
She was employed by Simplex Time Recorder where she worked for many years as an assembler until her retirement in 1986.
Germaine was a member of Annunciation Parish of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, Gardner.
She was a member of the Gardner Golden Agers and the Gardner Chapter of AARP.
Germaine loved travelling and finding new restaurants along the way. Germaine was an avid reader of romance novels. She enjoyed socializing with both new and old friends and enjoyed spending time with family.
She is survived by her sister Alma T. Jaillet of Gardner and several nieces and nephews.
Germaine was predeceased by two brothers; Robert S. Melanson, Theodore Melanson both of Gardner, and Maurice H. Melanson of Roslindale, MA; three sisters Lena Minns, Bertha Boucher and Claire Nolin all of Gardner.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 27th from the Boucher Funeral Home, 110 Nichols Street, Gardner, with a Mass at 11 am in Annunciation Parish - Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
Calling hours at the funeral home are Saturday, August 27th from 9:30 am to 10:30 am.
