Gerard E. Jaillet

September 18, 1934 — July 25, 2022

Gerard “Jerry” E. Jaillet, 87, of Gardner, died peacefully Monday, July 25, 2022, in Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, surrounded by his loving family following a short illness.  

Born in Gardner on September 18, 1934, he was the son of the late Edgar and Euphemie (Pellerin) Jaillet. He attended Gardner High School where he was a member of its swim team, and he was an avid gymnast through his younger years then going on to receive his GED.

 Jerry was a Self-Employed Contractor prior to his retirement. As a man of many trades, he was also a Machinist, Painter, Licensed Realtor and did Concrete Foundations with his sons for many years which brought him a lot of joy and laughter. One of his more notable ventures was caring for Disabled Veterans and was a D.A.R.E Program Advocate with his wife Shirley at their home in Winchendon.

Jerry was a member of the Acadien Social Club, American Legion, APA Pool League and Central Mass Caricature Carvers. He enjoyed golfing with his sons, playing the harmonica and performed at different functions and was always the life of the party. His greatest joy was his family and treasuring all the special moments they spent together.

Jerry is survived by his five sons, Bruce Jaillet and his wife Kathleen of Gardner, Peter Jaillet and his wife Laura of Lewisville, TX, Michael Jaillet of Gardner, James Jaillet and his wife Linda of Gardner, and Daniel Jaillet and his wife Donna of Gardner; one daughter, Monique Twine and her husband Richard of Gardner; fourteen grandchildren, Cole Jaillet and his wife Samantha, Dalton and his wife Jordan, Haley and Jenny Jaillet, Sarah Bachall and her husband Corbin, David Jaillet and his wife Taylor, Zachary Jaillet and his wife Kaylee, Tessa and Julia Jaillet, Adam Jaillet and his wife Alexa, Jack and Danielle Jaillet, Jocelyn Twine and her fiancé Nicholas Solitro and Garrett Twine; eleven great-grandchildren, Lorelei, Malcom, David, Caden, Brady, Reiley, Jax, Natalyah, Austin, Bryson, Charliee; two brothers, Edward “Eddy” Jaillet and Skip Jaillet; several nieces, nephews and cousins

He was predeceased by his wife of 64-years, Shirley M. (Parker) Jaillet, who died in 2019.

A Celebration of Jerry's Life will be held Saturday, September 10, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. in the Chair City Church, 112 Central Street, Gardner, MA.
