Geraldine A"Gerri" Saari

Geraldine "Gerri" (LaFond) Saari, 73, of Gardner, died peacefully Wednesday, October 25, 2017 in Gardner Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, surrounded by her family.
She was born in Altoona, PA on May 28, 1944, the daughter of the late Gerome E. and Christine (Pollick) LaFond.
Geraldine was a clerk employed by Stop & Shop Supermarket of Gardner for 22 years, retiring in 2006. She was previously employed by First National Supermarket of Gardner.
She was a member of the former Sacred Heart of Jesus Church of Gardner.
Geraldine was a huge fan of Elvis Presley, whom she loved dearly and greatly missed. She enjoyed working on her computer, loved spending time with her family, and treasured trips to Cape Cod, Maine and Vermont.
Geraldine leaves her husband of 39 years, Edward J. Saari of Gardner; daughter, Karen Gravel and her husband Ed of Gardner; son, Mark DiPasquale and his wife Sue of Phillipston; sister, Joyce Boutwell and her husband Don of Gardner; sister-in-law, Jackie LaFond of Ashburnham; three grandchildren, Marcus DiPasquale, Amy Gravel and Tyler DiPasquale; one great-granddaughter, Taylor Chirco; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Anthony LaFond; and by great-grandson, Sylas Cote.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, November 2nd at 11:00 a.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be held in Mountain View Cemetery, Troy, N.H.
Calling hours will be held Thursday, November 2nd from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home.
