Geraldine Doris Goguen

Geraldine “Gerry” Doris (Biron) Goguen, 95, of Dunedin, FL, formerly of Gardner, passed away Monday, April 5, 2021, after a short period of declining health.

Born in Gardner on March 15, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Laura (St. Pierre) Biron. Besides her parents, Gerry was predeceased by her husband, Joseph “Herve” F. Goguen, who died in 2016, a brother, Henry Biron, and three sisters, Anita Kulvete, Jeanette Raisanen, and Irene Gettens.

She is survived by her two daughters, Venise Ward and her husband Brian of Dunedin, FL, and Larissa Holt and her husband Eddie of Eugene, OR; three granddaughters, Kimberly Tyler and her husband David of Westminster, Natane and Salali Holt of Eugene, OR; and two great-granddaughters, Quinn and Mia Tyler; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She will be especially missed by her granddog, Tucker.

Geraldine attended Our Lady of the Holy Rosary School in Gardner and would graduate from Gardner High School with the Class of 1945. She and her husband Joseph were married on August 10, 1957 and shared 59-years of marriage. Geraldine was employed by Digital Equipment Corporation of Westminster for several years until her retirement. Gerry and Joe were world travelers and visited more than 40 countries in their 25-years of travel. Gerry loved to read, sing, and was a lover of chocolate. She especially loved spending time with her daughter, Venise, granddaughter Kimmy, and her great-granddaughters.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, May 10, 2021, with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Annunciation Parish at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA. Burial will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery, West Street, Gardner, MA.

A Calling Hour will be private.
