Georgette Rachel Tresback

Georgette Rachel (Croteau) (Monette) Tresback, 101, of Fitchburg, formerly of Gardner, died peacefully Tuesday, February 22, 2022, in Fitchburg Healthcare, Fitchburg.

Born in Gardner on November 11, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Nelson and Wilhelmina (St. Hilaire) Croteau. Georgette was a Sales Clerk in the Yarn Department employed by Goodnow Pearson for more than 27-years until her retirement in 1989.

Georgette was a parishioner of Annunciation Parish/ Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church of Gardner. She was an excellent knitter and crocheter, making gifts for her family and friends. Georgette also enjoyed playing BINGO and traveling—visiting many places throughout her long life. Her greatest joy came when she was with her family and friends, always cherishing the special moments they had together.

Georgette is survived by her two daughters, Carol J. Guertin of Gardner and Sandra L. Allain of Gardner; five grandchildren, Susan Lucier and her husband Jim, Steven Guertin and his wife Christine, Matthew Guertin, Jason Allain and Tanya Allain and her fiancé John Nobrega; two great-grandchildren, Alex and Andrew Lucier; two stepsons, Scott Tresback and Barry Tresback; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Edward E. Monette, in 1972; her second husband, Lawrence H. Tresback, who died in 2015; her sister, Stella Faucher; her brother, George Croteau; two sons-in-law, Robert Guertin and Paul Allain; a stepdaughter, Laura Horrigan; and a stepson, Gordon Tresback.

Graveside Services at Notre Dame Cemetery, West Street, Gardner, MA, will be Private and held at the convenience of the family.
