George L LeBlanc

George L. LeBlanc, 72, of Gardner died Sunday, September 3, 2017 in UMASS Memorial Medical Center of Worcester, following injuries sustained in a fall.
Born in St. John, N.B. Canada on October 25, 1945, he was the son of the late Joseph L. and Anna (Leger) LeBlanc.
George was a truck driver employed by Miller's Paving of Leominster for 24 years, retiring in 2014.
He was a member of Annunciation Parish/Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church of Gardner. He was also a member of the Acadien Social Club of Gardner and the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie 747 of Gardner.
George lived life to the fullest and on his own terms; whether it was eating lobster or hot dogs, riding a motorcycle, playing cards at the club, or watching the races. He was also known as Daddy-O, Grandpa George, Fred and Santa. George redefined the word family, and he was loved by many. The big guy with the big heart will be missed immensely.
He leaves his daughter, Michelle LeBlanc of Dudley; three sons, Harold "Butch" Covey of Winchendon, William "Bill" Covey of Winchendon and John Covey and his wife Rose of New Braintree; his partner of 20 years, Diane M. White of Gardner and her children, Misty Short, Mick Short and his wife Michael, Chrissy Short, Heather Favreau and her husband Dave, and Joe Short; son-in-law, David Theriault of Templeton; beloved grandchildren, Brittney Covey, Briana Theriault, Joe Berube and his wife Alexis, Joseph Theriault, Tia Covey, Matthew Chalke, Alexis Rojo, Abbey Short, and Matthew and Channing Favreau ; great-grandchildren, Natasha Nadeau, Jacob Capone, Jackson Chalke and Jordan and Brayden Peterson. George joins his daughter, Lica Theriault; granddaughter, Heather Covey; and grandson, Joshua Covey in Heaven.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, September 9th at 12:00 p.m. in Annunciation Parish/Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner.
There are no calling hours.
