George J. Boudreau, 85, of Gardner, died peacefully in his sleep Sunday, October 18, 2015, in his residence.
George was born in Gardner on May 24, 1930, the son of the late Jacob T. and Evangeline (Boudreau) Boudreau.
He was a lifelong resident of Gardner, graduating from Gardner High School with the Class of 1949.
George was a United States Korean War Army Veteran and received the Army Occupational Medal (Germany) and the National Defense Service Medal.
He was employed by Nichols and Stone Company of Gardner as the Maintenance Manager for 21 years, retiring in 1998. He was previously employed by the former LZ Kamman Company of Gardner for 11 years.
He was a member of Annunciation Parish/Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church of Gardner, and former member of Holy Spirit Church of Gardner.
George was a member of the V.F. W. Oliva Case, Post 905 of Gardner, Nichols and Stone Social Club and Gardner Chapter of A.A.R.P. He was a former Assistant Scout Master, former Cub Master of Pack 10 and former President of Gardner Pop Warner Association.
George loved spending time with his family and socializing with friends at Suzette's Diner.
He leaves two sons, Lawrence J. Boudreau and his wife Michelle of Ashburnham and Kenneth E. Boudreau and his wife Shannon of Columbia, CT; two daughters, Nannette M. Voisine of Lexington, SC and Suzette M. Goguen and her husband Roger of Gardner; three grandchildren, Lauren, Vanessa and Chase Boudreau; six step-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by two brothers, Norman H. Boudreau and Adelard Boudreau; one sister, Bernadette Leblanc; one son-in-law, Adrien Voisine; and by his former wife Jeannine M. (Monette) (Boudreau) Roy.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, October 24th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Annunciation Parish/Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
Calling hours will be held Friday, October 23, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
