Gail H. (Austin) Boeck, 72, of 172 Manca Drive, Gardner, died peacefully Tuesday, May 14, 2013 in Heywood Hospital, Gardner, surrounded by her family, following a long illness.
Born in Gardner on November 29, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Helen (Chartier) Austin.
Gail was a caregiver and homemaker for many years.
She graduated from Gardner High School with the Class of 1958.
She was a member of Cornerstone Church of the Assemblies of God in Winchendon. Gail was also a member of the Royal Cadets.
Gail enjoyed watching Trinity Broadcasting Network on television, playing Bingo at Foxwoods and she especially loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Gail was predeceased by her husband of 21 years, Richard Boeck, who died in 1992.
She leaves two daughters, Michelle D. Hayden of Gardner and Kim M. Mannion and her husband Eric of Townsend; two brothers, Lawrence C. Austin and his wife Linda of Jeffrey, NH and Nelson A. Austin and his wife Madeline of Gardner; one sister Sheila M. Miettinen of Gardner; nine grandchildren, Derek Hayden, Sean McInerney, Fawn Gray, Darsea LaVorgna, Christine Gray, John Gray Jr, Shannon Gray, Danielle Mannion, Jessica Mannion; eleven great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by one daughter, Leona R. (Hayden) O'Brien who died in 2011.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, May 17th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 135 Nichols Street, Gardner with a service at 11:00 a.m. in Cornerstone Church of the Assemblies of God, 122 Gardner Road, Winchendon. Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery, Gardner.
A calling hour in the funeral home will be Friday, May 17th from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
At the request of the family, memorial contributions may be made to the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., PO Box 455, Gardner, MA 01440 to assist with Gail's funeral expenses.
