Gail A. (Keeney) Anderson, 77, of Gardner, died peacefully Wednesday, October 11, 2023, in UMass Memorial Medical Center—Memorial Campus, Worcester, after an illness.
Born in Melrose on February 7, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Paul A. and Grace Shirley (Brown) Keeney. She graduated from Narragansett Regional High School with the Class of 1964 and received her Associate's Degree from Mount Wachusett Community College. Gail was a Financial Advisor employed by Mount Wachusett Community College of Gardner for over 30 years before her retirement.
Gail was a former congregant of St. Paul's Episcopal Church of Gardner and the former president and member of the American Legion Women's Auxiliary of Gardner. She enjoyed taking trips to the Foxwoods and playing cards. Gail loved gardening and was a proud farmer who, along with her husband Paul, owned Anderson Farm Stand for many years. Her greatest joy was her family, treasuring all the special times spent together.
Gail is survived by her husband of 27 years, Paul Anderson of Gardner; a daughter, Anne Baker and her husband George of Baldwinville; a son John Jellison of Baldwinville; four stepsons, Keith, Derek, Wayne and PJ Anderson; twelve grandchildren, Wendy Kirby, Ashley Jellison, Brittany Dunn, Daniel Anderson, Emilee Flynn, Michelle, Kyle, Diesel, Anna, Alan, Natalia and Nickolas Anderson; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Jean McDonald and her husband Paul of Nashua, NH, and Beth Gray and her husband Don of Gardner; two brothers David Keeney of Winchendon and Daniel Keeney and his significant other Pat Connolly of Baldwinville; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Cheryl Jellison, who died in 1991.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, October 27, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA.
A Celebration of Gail's Life will be held on Friday, October 27, 2023, from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the American Legion, 3 Central Street, Baldwinville, MA.
