Franklin J."Frank" Hebert

January 7, 1921 — September 5, 2007

Franklin J. Hebert. 86, of 29330 Warmsprings Drive, Menifee, CA, prior resident of Gardner and Westminster until 1970, died unexpectedly Wednesday, September 5th while on an airline flight returning home to California from Gardner.

He was born in Gardner on January 7, 1921, the son of the late Joseph Noah and Harriet (Carey) Hebert.

Mr. Hebert was a repair technician, employed by Hobart Corporation of California from 1974 until 1980.

Franklin was a 1939 graduate of Gardner High School. He attended Aviation Mechanic School in Worcester, MA from 1939 - 1942.

Mr. Hebert was a member of the American Legion of Poway, CA., and a member of the Family Motor Coach Association. He was a past member of the Gardner Lodge of Elks, Lodge 1426 and a past member of the American Legion, Post 129 of Gardner.

Franklin enjoyed traveling extensively in his motor home. He had a strong passion for music, especially the "Big Bands" of the 1950's. Frank played the organ, violin and piano.

Mr. Hebert was a WWII United States Navy Veteran, serving his country for 30 years.

He leaves his wife of 27 years, Dora N. (Strawn) Hebert; three sons, Franklin J. Hebert, Jr. and his wife Bonnie of Leominster, Gerard L. Hebert of Woodford, VA and Ronald L. Hebert and his wife Mary-Anne of Olathe Kansas; one daughter, Jeannette M. Lemire of Templeton; two step-daughters, Geraldean Prins and her husband Ralph of Hemet, CA and Marcille Richardson and her husband Doyle of Menifee, CA; one brother, Howard G. Hebert of Pinellas Park, FL ; one sister, Pauline M. MacQueston of Winchendon; seven grandchildren, Eric Hebert, Heather Nasiatka, Deborah Adams, Laura Dix, Keith Hebert, Kelly Connors, Chad Hebert; five step-grandchildren, Rance and Reed Richardson, Marci Perkett, Michille and Monty Prins; twenty-one great grandchildren; and one great-great grandson; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, September 10th at 10:00 a.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Gardner.

A calling hour at the funeral home will be Monday, September 10th from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
