Francis L. Hullette

Francis L. "Frankie" Hullette, 79, of 37 Birch St., Gardner died Wednesday November 10th in Heywood Hospital, Gardner, following an illness.
Born in Clinton on February 1, 1925, he was the son of Albert and Doris (Gravel) Hullette.
He was a Facilities Maintenance worker employed at Mount Wachusett Community College, Gardner for 25 years, retiring in 1988. He was previously a Nurses' Attendant at Gardner State Hospital, Gardner.
He received his GED in 1973.
He was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church. He was a member of American Legion Post 129 of Gardner and served as Honor Guard and Sergeant of Arms. He was a baseball and softball umpire for Little League, High School and College for 25 years.
Mr. Hullette was a World War II & Korean War U.S. Navy veteran and received the National Defense Service Medal, United Nations Medal, Korean Service Medal with 4 stars and the Navy Occupation Medal with Aisa Clasp.
He leaves his wife of 49 years, Myrtle E. (Smith) Hullette of Gardner;
2 sons, Michael F. and wife Leonette Hullette of Templeton; James A. Hullette of Gardner; 1 daughter, Nancy L. McMilleon and fiance, Drew M. Duplessis of Otter River; 3 brothers, Albert "Babe" Hullette, Rudy Hullette both of Fitchburg and Robert "Bob" Hullette of Greenville, NH; 1 sister, Doris Moulton of Arlington, TX; 2 grandchildren, Jeffrey Hullette of Gardner, Kayla McMilleon of Otter River; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a brother, Andrew Hullette of Gardner and a sister, Jeanette Cossette of Fitchburg.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 14th @ 3:00 p.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols St., Gardner. Burial of cremains will be in the MA Memorial Veterans Cemetery, Winchendon at a later date.
Calling hours at the funeral home are Sunday, November 14th from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
