Francis M."Lefty" Beauregard

Francis M. "Lefty" Beauregard, 80, of 89 Rosewood Drive, Gardner, died Wednesday, December 5th surrounded by his wife and children in U-Mass Memorial Medical Center, University Campus, Worcester following a long illness.

He was born in Gardner, on August 22, 1927, the son of Raymond C. and Doria (LaPlante) Beauregard.

Prior to retiring, Francis was co-manager of Beaugegard Package Store in Gardner. He previously was employed at the Gardner Golf Course in the maintenance department, and also by Custom & Modern Mfg. Co., Collier Keyworth Co., and also Louie's Package Store all in Gardner.

Francis attended Gardner High School. He was a member of Holy Spirit Church, Gardner. He was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie 747 of Gardner and the Napoleon Club of Gardner.

"Lefty" enjoyed golfing, playing pool, working in his yard, going out for coffee, listening to inspirational music and going on short trips. He was a true prankster, and was loved by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Jeannette M. (Bernier) Beauregard of Gardner; one son, David F. Beauregard and his wife Laura of Gardner; two daughters, Deborah A. Sanderson and her husband David of Barre and Priscilla M. Arsenault and her husband Craig of Gardner; two brothers, Roland (Turk) Beauregard and Chester Beauregard and his wife Joan all of Gardner; one sister, Rachel Waitikus of Norwood; six grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by one brother, Leonard (Smitty) Beauregard and by one sister, Estelle Roy.

Funeral services will be held Monday, December 10th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a Mass at 10:00 am in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.

Calling hours at the funeral home are Sunday, December 9th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
