Frances K. Aukstikalnis, 85, of 104 Church Street, Gardner died peacefully Sunday, April 29, 2012 in Heywood Hospital, Gardner following a brief illness.
Frances was born in Gardner on August 4, 1926, the daughter of the late Charles and Agnes (Parnarauskas) Aukstikalnis.
She was employed by Nichols and Stone Company of Gardner as a rip saw operator for twelve years, retiring in 1991. She was previously employed in the office of Heywood Wakefield Company for 34 years.
Frances was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Gardner.
She enjoyed bowling and fishing.
Frances leaves her sister-in-law, Adeline Aukstikalnis of Gardner; two nieces, Debra LeBlanc of Gardner and Carole Middelton of Colorado Springs, CO; and one nephew, Glen Aukstikalnis of Seal Rock, OR. She was predeceased by two brothers, Paul C. Aukstikalnis who died in 2001 and Peter R. Aukstikalnis who died in 1995; and by one sister, Julia J. Offineer who died in 2010.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, May 7th with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 166 Cross Street, Gardner. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Gardner.
