Foster A. Stone

Foster A. Stone, 86, of Gardner, died peacefully Thursday, November 18, 2021, in Wachusett Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Gardner, after an illness.

Born in Baldwinville on June 7, 1935, he was the son of the late Stanley and Irene (Reed) Stone. Foster was a Sander employed by the Heywood-Wakefield Co. of Gardner for several years.

Foster was a congregant of the Chestnut Street Methodist Church of Gardner. He was a social individual who loved talking with everybody, always having a smile on his face. Foster loved listening to music of all sorts and going for rides. His greatest enjoyment in life was spent with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.

Foster is survived by his two daughters, Kathy Palmieri and her husband Scott of Gardner, and Karen Arseneau and her husband Mario of Gardner; a stepdaughter, Patty Ray and her husband Richard of Athol; four grandchildren, Matthew Arseneau, Angela Hill and her husband Erik, Jennifer King and her husband Chad and Katie Palmieri; three great-grandchildren, Charlotte and Madison King and Silas Hill; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was predeceased by his wife of 64-years, Grace P. (Cross) Stone, who died in 2008; a daughter, Debbie Stone; three brothers, Richard, Leonard, and Walter Stone; two sisters, Barbara Mason and Violet Robinson; and a stepson, Charles Wesockes.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, November 24, 2021, at 11:30 a.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc. 110 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA. Burial at Silver Lake Cemetery, Silver Lake Street, Athol, MA, will be held at a later date.

Calling Hours will be held Wednesday, November 24, 2021, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
