Florence M. Gosselin

Florence M. (Richard) Gosselin, 95, of Gardner, died peacefully Tuesday, January 18, 2022, in her residence with her family by her side.

Born in Saint-Antoine, New Brunswick, Canada, on March 11, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Adeline (Gosselin) Richard. Florence was a Self-Employed Seamstress for several years prior to her retirement.

Florence was a parishioner of Annunciation Parish/ Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church of Gardner and its Ladies of St. Anne Society. She enjoyed making poutines, playing BINGO, bowling, shuffleboard, sewing and knitting. She loved traveling, especially to Florida during the winter for 32-years. Florence was a homemaker whose greatest enjoyment came from being with her family.

Florence is survived by two sons, Valmont L. Gosselin and his wife Christine of Gardner, Raymond G. Gosselin of Otter River; five daughters, Norma M. Boudreau and her husband Thomas of Gardner, Yvette A. Reed and her husband William of Otter River, Gisele P. Boone and her husband James of Gardner, Denise H Gosselin and her significant other Van Laskarides of Ashburnham, Jacqueline M. Gosselin of Jacksonville Florida; one sister, Therese LeBlanc of Gardner; thirteen grandchildren, Shelley Lavallee and her husband Phillip, Christopher Morris and his wife Nicole, David Boudreau and his wife Kelly, Kimberly Vautour and her husband Timothy, Craig Gosselin and his wife Ellen, Julie Rhuland and her husband Michael, Jennifer Gray and her husband Jeff Keohane, Eric Gray and his wife Kathy, Joshua Boone and his wife Alexa, Jacob Boone, Kassandra Laskarides, Karissa Laskarides, Zoe Laskarides; fifteen great-grandchildren, Alison Sundquist and her husband Joshua, Luke Boudreau and his wife Kate, Dylan Boudreau, Maxwell Rhuland, Kendall Rhuland, Addison Rhuland, Emma Gosselin, Benjamin Gosselin, Ryan Gray, Gavin Lavallee, Sierra Lavallee, Jamison Morris, Colin Morris, Jack Vautour, Matthew Vautour; one great-great-grandchild, Ryder Sundquist; a son-in-law, Creighton Morris; two sisters-in-law, Alta Gosselin and Diane Richard ; one brother-in-law, Gerald Gosselin and his wife Dora; several nieces, nephews, and cousins .

She was predeceased by her husband of 71-years, Aime J. Gosselin, who died in 2017; a daughter, Carmella Morris; one granddaughter, Erika Boudreau; five brothers, Henrie, Joseph, Zoel, Maurice, Elzear Richard; nine sisters, Aurelie Boudreau, Yvonne Richard, Anita Leger, Marie Cormier-Bourque, Flora Melanson, Loretta Robichaud, Cecile Richard, and Alma Richard, Edna Legere.

The family would like to thank Care Central VNA and Hospice and Heywood Cardiology Department, especially Aimee St. Hilaire for their loving and compassionate care.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, January 26, 2022, from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA with a Mass at 12:00 p.m. in Annunciation Parish at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA. Burial at Notre Dame Cemetery, West Street, Gardner, MA, will be held at a later date.

Calling Hours will be held Wednesday, January 26, 2022, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
