Felicite M. "Fe" (Turgeon) Andersson, 73, of Gardner, died peacefully Thursday, April 26, 2018 in UMASS Memorial Medical Center of Worcester, following a brief illness.
Born in Gardner on May 30, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Henry A. and Felicite (Goderre) Turgeon.
Felicite graduated from Gardner High School with the Class of 1961. She received her Bachelors of Science Degree in Sociology in 1965 from Rivier University of Nashua, NH, and later took graduate courses in Psychology from Assumption College of Worcester.
At the time of her death, Felicite was employed by the Greater Gardner Chamber of Commerce as an Administrative Assistant, a position she held for the past 7 years. Felicite was the Executive Assistant for the Greater Gardner CDC from 2000 through 2011, and from 1995 through 1999 she was the Administrative Assistant for Gardner Square Two, Inc. She was also employed part-time for many years by Magic Moments Gift Shop of Gardner and Leominster.
Felicite was one of the organizing members of the formation of the Friends of Levi Heywood Memorial Library of Gardner, and for many years she and her husband were very active members of the Swedish Social Club of Westminster.
She enjoyed reading, cooking, watching crime investigation shows on television and spending time at the beach. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family. Felicite was a special woman who will always be remembered for her sweet personality and giving nature. She was truly loved by many people in the Gardner community.
Felicite leaves her husband of 43 years, Jack S. Andersson; one son, David Andersson of Watertown; one daughter, Sarah Andersson of Gardner; two brothers, Raymond Turgeon and his wife Amy Miller of Union, Maine and Eugene Turgeon and his wife Carol of Saugus, MA; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral Services and burial are private and will be held at the convenience of the family in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Winchendon.
A 'Celebration of Life' will be held at the Swedish Social Club of Westminster at a later date.
