Exilda A. Brouillet, 98, of 59 Eastwood Circle, Gardner, formerly of 251 Park Street, Gardner, died peacefully Friday, January 16th in the Leo P. LaChance Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation, Gardner.
Born in Bouctouche, N.B. Canada on May 22, 1910, she was the daughter of the late Gonzaoue and Adeline (Renaud) LeBlanc.
Exilda was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, Gardner and its Ladies of St. Anne Society.
She enjoyed spending time playing cards, knitting and saying the rosary.
She was predeceased by her husband, Clement C. Brouillet who died in 1965.
Mrs. Brouillet leaves two daughters, Doris E. Roy of Gardner and Pauline H. Smith of Colonial Heights, VA; one brother, Joseph LeBlanc of Moncton, N.B. Canada; one sister, Ida Spencer of Moncton, N.B., Canada; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and ten great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by one son, Lewis R. Brouillet who died in 1980; three brothers, Zefir LeBlanc, Antelien LeBlanc, and Louis LeBlanc; four sisters, Eva Bourgeois, Germaine Melanson, Sede Hebert and Aurore Cormier; one grandson, Michael Brouillet and one great-grandson, Peter J. Brehio.
Funeral services will be held in the Spring. Details will be announced in the Gardner News at a later date.
