Evangeline “Angie” A. (LeBlanc) Richard, of Leominster, formerly of Gardner, died peacefully Tuesday, December 7, 2021, in Leominster Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Leominster.
Born in Minto, New Brunswick, Canada, on March 18, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Alyre and Vitaline (Bourque) LeBlanc. She was an Assembler employed by the former Simplex Time Recorder Co. of Gardner for 28-years until her retirement in 1988.
Evangeline was a parishioner of Annunciation Parish/ Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church of Gardner, where she was a member of its Ladies of Ste. Anne Society and volunteered at its annual Bazaar. She enjoyed reading the newspaper while drinking a cup of coffee and watching the news on television. Evangeline was very particular about her hair, making sure it was always perfect. Her most treasured time was taking drives with her late husband Ernest.
Evangeline is survived by four sisters, Irene Poirier, Rose Doucet, Marie LeBlanc and May Mencke, all of Toronto; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her husband 67-years, Ernest J. Richard; her brothers, Pierre and Ulyse LeBlanc; and three sisters, Bella Cormier, Hattie Richard, Jeannine Sweeney
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, December 14, 2021, with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. Annunciation Parish at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA. Burial will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery, West Street, Gardner, MA.
