Eva (LeBlanc) Robichaud, 100, of 26 Minuteman Drive, Templeton died peacefully, Sunday April 14, 2013 in her residence with her daughter by her side.
Born in Cocagne, N.B. Canada on October 7, 1912, she was the daughter of the late Levi and Rufine (Goguen) LeBlanc.
Eva was employed by Gardner State Hospital in Gardner as a nurse's attendant for 12 years, retiring in 1978.
She was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, and it's Ladies of Ste. Anne Society.
Eva enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas, watching television, sports, gardening, knitting and reciting the Rosary. She cherished spending time with her family.
Eva received two Official Citations in recognition of her 100th Birthday; one from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts State Senator Stephen M. Brewer and one from United States President Barack Obama.
She was predeceased by her husband of 23 years, Prime O. Robichaud, who died September 3, 1965.
Eva leaves one son, Prime V. Robichaud of Gardner; one daughter, Claudette M. Johnson of Templeton; one sister, Lea Maillet of Cocagne, N.B. Canada; one sister-in-law, Dorice LeBlanc of Canada; two grandchildren, Daniel Patriquin of Templeton and Edward Tarbox of Gardner; seven step-grandchildren, Roger Johnson, Sherry Berube, Ernest Johnson, Scott Johnson, Jesse Johnson, Jennifer Mosher and Matthew Johnson; several great-grandchildren, step-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by three brothers, Albert, Edouard and Rene LeBlanc; five sisters, Dora LeBlanc, Lina Bourque, Clara Goguen, Forida LeBlanc and Alma McNabe; one son-in-law, Ernie Johnson; one granddaughter, Cynthia Patriquin; two step-grandchildren, Kristen Johnson and Raymond Goland.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, April 17th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
Calling hours will be Tuesday, April 16th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
