Ethel A. "Annie" (Beal) Flagg, 68, of 7 Pearl Street, Winchendon, died Saturday, August 8th in Athol Memorial Hospital, Athol, surrounded by her family, following a brief illness.
Born in Gardner on July 14, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Evelyn (Taft) Beal.
Ethel was employed by Simplex Time Recorder, Gardner and Westminster, as an assembler for 25 years, retiring in 2004.
She graduated from Narragansett Regional High School, Templeton with the Class of 1960.
Ethel enjoyed reading, computer games, cooking and taking "road trips". She was an avid Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots fan. Ethel loved her cat, Blondie. She most enjoyed time spent with her family.
Ethel leaves one son, Chester R. Flagg, Jr of Gardner; two daughters, Kelley A. May of Gardner and Debra M. Singpradith of Phoenix, AZ; one brother, Warren B. "Buddy" Beal of Boise, ID; one sister, Ellen J. Chapman and her husband Harold of Otter River; one step-sister, Elizabeth Smith of Holden; four grandchildren, Nicole Souvandara, Joshua May, Jennifer May and Nicholas Singpradith; one great-grandchild, Ta'Vien Simon; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by one half-brother, Harry B. Beal
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 12th at 7:00 p.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Baldwinville at a later date.
Calling hours in the funeral home will be Wednesday, August 12th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
