Ernest A. "Ernie" LeBlanc, 70, of 200 Springs Road, Bedford, formerly of 360 Park Street, Gardner, died peacefully Wednesday, September 19, 2012 in Edith Nourse Rogers Memorial Veterans Hospital, Bedford, after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease.
Born in Gardner on April 1, 1942, he was the son of the late Emile J. and M. Alice (Cormier) LeBlanc.
Ernest was Vice President of Modern Contract Furniture Company of Gardner for 38 years, retiring in 2000.
He graduated from Gardner High School, Gardner with the class of 1960.
He was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, Gardner. He was also, a member of the Napoleon Club in Gardner and the V.F.W. Post 8164 of Tewksbury, MA.
Ernest was a United States Air Force Vietnam War Veteran and received the Air Force Longevity Service Award and the Air Force Good Conduct Medal.
He enjoyed playing golf, traveling and watching sports on television. His greatest enjoyment came from spending time with his family.
Ernest leaves his wife of 46 years, Joyce A. (Boudreau) LeBlanc of Gardner; three sons, Mark A. LeBlanc of Gardner, Dean R. LeBlanc of Gardner and Keith P. LeBlanc and his wife Michelle of Mustang, OK; one daughter, Nicole P. Anselmo and her husband Dinis of Tyngsboro, MA; two brothers, Joseph E. LeBlanc and his wife Mary of Randolph, MA and Paul LeBlanc and his wife Florence of Gardner; three sisters, Helen Walsh and her husband John of Feeding Hills, MA, Doris Comeau and her husband Emery of Manchester, CT, Dianne Lupaczyk and her husband Thomas of Gardner; one sister-in-law, Margaret LeBlanc of Waltham; eight grandchildren, David Marion, Brittany Bliss, Miranda LeBlanc, Ashley Anselmo, Sara Anselmo, Nicholas Anselmo, Nathaniel LeBlanc and Annabelle LeBlanc; three great-grandchildren, Dustin, Zelina and Konrad Bliss; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by one brother, Gerald LeBlanc and by one sister, Cecile Cormier.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, September 24th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in MA Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 111 GlenAllen Street, Winchendon at a later date.
A calling hour in the funeral home will be Sunday, September 23rd from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
